How You Can Help

Giving Tuesday - November 28, 2023

  1. The Love Story Library and Homeschool Resource Center exists to enrich the spiritual lives of Christians and equip families to disciple their children in the Christian faith through offering Christ-centered resources, services and events.

If you are looking for a worthy ministry for this day, we would be grateful if you would please consider our library.

We are grateful to receive books, DVDs and audio CD sets (no individual ones, please) that meet the following criteria:

N
We want the Love Story to be your library of choice! When you want a good book to read or your children are looking for something fun to read, watch or listen to, we want you to think of the Love Story first. So feel free to browse our online catalog or come in and browse our shelves. We’d love to meet you!
N
Tell your friends about the Love Story! Word-of-mouth is the best way to get the word out about us, so please help.
N
Financial gifts would be greatly appreciated. We promise that any money you give will be used entirely for media for the library. CWG Ministries covers all facility and paid staff costs. Donations may be made by check or credit card to Communion with God Ministries, and you will receive a tax deductible receipt for the full amount.
N
If there is an author or book or audio or video series that you think would make a great contribution to the library, please tell me about it! We want the library to meet your needs and expectations, and obviously we are not aware of all the great stuff available today.
N
Homeschoolers: If you would like me to try to find materials that support units you will be exploring with your children during the coming year, please let me know well in advance and I will do my best to help you.

New or gently used.

For all ages.  We do have a selection of board books in the library, and we have  videos for toddlers, such as Baby Einstein, Baby Genius, and Praise Baby.

N
Christian in focus is our first choice, but we are also including some non-religious books that are consistent with Christianity. We are specifically rejecting materials that would be considered “politically correct” in its most negative connotation – those that promote or accept any type of immorality or ungodliness.
N

We have included in the library a few items that briefly mention evolution or refer to an extremely old earth and universe. However, we have put a warning label on the front of any books with such claims so you can avoid the undesirable pages or be prepared to discuss the errors with your children.
The items are included in our holdings because the vast majority of their contents is acceptable and beautifully presented, and it is very hard to find good quality juvenile non-fiction written from a Christian perspective.

N
Once items have been given to The Love Story, they become the property of The Love Story to do with as is deemed best by the board of the library. Options may include placing them in the library, offering them for sale, or discarding them.
